The installation explores how nature, apathetic to our existence, can be domesticated and alienated in our cultural habitat by creating a duality of interior and exterior space embedded in the same body of work. On the one hand, the fish tank in the gallery embodies the removal and isolation of the fish and plants it contains from their natural environment. On the other, the fish tank in the video is itself removed from its expected context, stranded in the middle of a natural environment yet simultaneously unreachable to the viewer.
